Hola!
I'm Andrea Cira, a paper artist and illustrator from Mexico, based in Kansas City. I create dimensional art with cut paper, bringing colorful, detailed work to clients in editorial, branding, and publishing. Alongside this, I explore my own personal projects, drawing inspiration from my Mexican heritage and the things I love in life.
Growing up in Mexico, I was surrounded by vibrant colors, and traditional crafts. I learned the importance of creating something with my own hands and the value of the time and effort put into everything handmade. This upbringing has influenced my creative process, and I strive to incorporate these same values into every piece I make.
My creative process begins with sketching ideas for each project. Once the concept is defined, I meticulously craft dimensional illustrations and 3D paper models. After creating the physical piece, I photograph it and apply finishing touches using Photoshop and Lightroom to ensure the final artwork meets the standards. The completed designs are then delivered as digital files to my clients. Additionally, I offer the option of delivering physical pieces if needed for a different purpose.
Through my art, I hope to share the joy and beauty of paper creations with others. I believe that the process of creating something by hand is a meaningful and meditative experience, and I hope to inspire others to appreciate the value of this process as well.
